Rifugio Bristot, Località Col Toront Nevegal - 32100 Belluno (BL) IT (0039) 3389553434

In the heart of the Prealpi Bellunesi, at 1616 meters above sea level, below the top of Col Toront there is the Rifugio Bristot, which since 29 October 1950 overlooks the Valbelluna, the Alpago mountains and the peaks of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage.

The structure was designed by the engineer Gianni Lanzarini, built by the company Cosmo and Giuseppe Fornasier and named after Aneglo Bortot, silver medal for military valor. The unique furniture, still existing and reconsociable in oak tables, was designed by Mario De Donà, famous artist and graphic designer.

The first manager was his grandfather, Segrio Arban. After an alternation of various administrations, in 1995 her daughter Giovanna and her husband Lorenzo bought the refuge. Now the tradition is carried on by her niece Marta. The love and respect for the mountain environment unite three generations under the roof of the shelter with a simple, authentic and sincere welcome: a special union of tenacity, kindness and confidentiality.

The refuge is not just a refreshment or a foothold; it is a space of experience, of knowledge of the territory, of encounter between anyone who has a story to tell. It allows us to understand that feeling part of a place goes beyond what that place is itself. It is not easy to understand, but it is all to discover.

Living the mountain also means belonging to a territory and creating relationships with those who work there and take care of it: for this reason we choose to cook our dishes preferably with products Km0 from the Valbelluna. A mutual strength and support!
