Grotta Azzurra

Valbelluna
Grotta Azzurra
Grotta Azzurra, Via San Donà 4 - 32026 Borgo Valbelluna (BL) IT +39 0437 548122 info@castellodizumelle.it www.castellodizumelle.it

A fascinating path not too easy but very suggestive among wild nature. Park your car at the Zumelle Castle, the only parking available, and pass through the woods to discover the art installations made by local artists. The starting point of the path is well signposted and it will immediately immerse you in a magical atmosphere. Pay attention to the pebbly of the riverbed in the river Rui because, due to algae and moss, it could be slippery if you don’t wear trekking shoes.

At the end of the path, among the stratified rocks, the “Grotta Azzurra” stands out with its characteristic colors ranging from blue to green and its small waterfall. To go back, retrace the same path: however, if you want to lengthen the walk, go up to the paved road where you can admire the lonely Church of San Donato of Langobard origin.
