The production of the Brewery in Pedavena was inaugurated on March 27, 1897.

Two years earlier, the three brothers, Luigi, Sante and Giovanni Luciani from Canale d'Agordo (BL) had started the construction of the brewery in Pedavena. In addition to the ease of access to the main communication routes and the easy supply of ice, Pedavena was in fact rich in waters whose properties could give the beer special qualities.

The company has immediately experienced an exceptional development thanks to the great entrepreneurial spirit, also obtaining several awards for its product. With the outbreak of the Great War and the defeat of Caporetto in 1917, the area of Belluno is occupied by Austrian troops that plunder and burn the plant. The Luciani brothers found themselves in 1919 to have to start from scratch and decided not only to rebuild the plant but also to expand it by acquiring new structures.

With the passage of time, the increase in international competitiveness and the considerable reduction in profit margins, led to the sale of the group to a multinational in 1975.

In September 2004, exactly 30 years after the acquisition, the multinational decided to close the Pedavena plant. The mobilization by workers against the stop to production with the aim of raising public awareness begins immediately. Thanks to these reactions, the company opted for the sale of the plant to the Birra Castello di Udine group, which bought it in January 2006, reopening it the following April, almost a year after its closure.
